Wheeling Jesuit University offers students with documented disabilities individual accommodations on a case-by-case basis with confidentiality in compliance with the American with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Students with disabilities may require certain accommodations in order to achieve academic success. It is up to students with disabilities to seek out available assistance on campus through the Disability Services Director and to utilize individualized accommodations. In order to receive accommodations, students with disabilities must self-identify to the university and provide current and comprehensive documentation concerning the nature and extent of the disability to Kathy Tagg, Director of Disability Services. In addition, students must meet with Disability Services Director, Kathy Tagg in order to collaboratively identify those reasonable accommodations the student requires in order to have the opportunity to experience success at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Information from documentation of a disability is considered confidential. With the permissions of students with disabilities, limited faculty and staff may be informed of the particular physical or academic adjustments that are necessary and appropriate.
