Questions about billing? Have questions about or want guidance with design/logo use? Contact us at webadmin@wju.edu.

  1. Why did WJU implement a fee for printing services?
In previous years, the poster printing service functioned on supplies that had been left over from a group that is no longer on campus. With the supplies running low, we had to repurchase a large portion of the supplies. In order to keep the printing services up and running, we had to implement a fee in order to cover the cost of paper and ink. All funds are put back into the printing budget to buy ink and paper for the next school year.

  2. Can I stop a print job before it is complete if I realize that I no longer want what is printing?
Absolutely, as long as you cancel the order within three days of its "print by" date. If you request a cancellation late, we will cancel the request but still charge a $15 late cancellation fee. If your poster has already been printed, you will be required to cover the cost of the poster.

  3. Will I get a confirmation of my order?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation email when you place the order and another when it is ready for pick-up.

  4. Who can place an order?
We can only accept orders from current WJU students, faculty staff, and administration at this time. Unlike most printers on campus which are self-serve, the poster printer is only available with the assistance of Web Services staff by submitting an order - see Steps for Submitting a Poster Printing Request (above).

  5. How large can I print?
The maximum width of the printer paper is 44 inches (size of the paper roll). For length, we can accommodate up to 56 inches (standard poster size). If you have an unusual file size, please note on your order and we will contact you if there are any issues or additional charges.

  6. How can I pay for my order?
Your order will be billed to the department you noted on your submission form. Please contact your advisor for any additional questions/comments/concerns.

  7. How long does it take to print?
Depending on the size of the poster and file size, it can take anywhere from 45 min - 1 hour and 30 min.

    • 24"x36" posters print in about 45 min.
    • 36"x48" in about 50 min. to 1 hour
    • 48"x56" in roughly 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 min.

  8. Do I have to use the University's printing service to print my poster?
No, this service is in place as an option for your convenience. However, you are free to use whichever service best suits your needs. If you choose to use an alternative service, please keep in mind that your department may not cover the cost. Please consult your department chair for any questions you may have.
