The women's soccer team at Wheeling Jesuit University will travel to Europe during this year's spring break, March 1-10. The team, along with several family members, will visit Ireland, Wales and England. "The whole team is incredibly excited and proud to represent Wheeling Jesuit University while traveling abroad," said Tyler Absalom, head coach.

The student-athletes completed all of the fundraising for this trip by holding an apparel fundraiser, a car wash and creating sponsorship letters. Absalom described this trip as being "a once in a lifetime experience."

The team will get to experience the different cultures, sightseeing at Trinity College, the Book of Kells, St. Patrick's Cathedral, historical buildings and castles, training and playing in multiple games, touring professional English Premier League stadiums and attending two professional games.

"I am looking forward to experience all the diverse cultures, especially within the soccer community. I’m ecstatic that our program has the opportunity to be trained by different coaches in the countries we will be visiting. Also, I’m even more excited to have the opportunity to be able to play games against some great competition overseas. I can’t describe how thankful I am, as well as how thankful the program is, to be able to have this experience with all of my sisters. This is an opportunity that we will forever remember and cherish for a lifetime," said Micah Miller, a junior midfielder on the women's soccer team.

Wheeling Jesuit University is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the country offering 25 majors and concentrations, 15 minors, and six graduate programs.
