The junior joins Marquette University's Markus Howard, who received the Men's Basketball side of the weekly award.
The co-Mountain East Conference Player of the Week, Moore averaged 19.0 points and 17.5 rebounds in the Cardinals (6-8/4-4 MEC) two conference victories and shared the honor with Shepherd guard Morgan Arden. Marquette's Howard pumped in 44.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for his team.
Beginning on Thursday night, Moore powered the WJU road effort at the University of Charleston to a 78-72 win. The junior could not be stopped as she pushed the Cardinals ahead in the first half where she nearly had a double-double of 16 points, nine rebounds, three steals and a block. Chenelle did not stop there where she added another 11 points, nine rebounds and a steal in the second 20 minutes. In the game, Moore made 17 of 21 shots and all five free throws for 27 points, her second-highest total of the year, 18 rebounds, four steals and an assist.
Following up the performance, Moore added her eighth double-double of the season in Sunday's 86-54 win over West Virginia State. The Westerville, Ohio native grabbed another 17 rebounds to go with 11 points.
