The Father John Coll, S.J., Office of Mission & Identity

WJU's Class of 1963 generously funds initiatives promoting our Catholic Jesuit mission in honor of Fr. John Coll, S.J., their class moderator, who served WJU for over 20 years. Fr. Coll was born on June 11, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He entered the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus on Feb. 1, 1944, and was ordained June 17, 1956. From 1958-1967, he taught ethics at Wheeling College and returned in 1997 to serve as assistant to the rector and pastoral minister. Since 2011 he has been a member of the St. Claude la Colombiere Jesuit Community in Baltimore, Md. The Jesuit community at Wheeling Jesuit University also significantly funds mission efforts.

Ignatian Prayer

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my entire will, All I have and call my own.

You have given all to me. To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me.

- St. Ignatius of Loyola
