Campus Ministry Serve

Cultivating a faith that does justice is an integral part of the Jesuit identity of Wheeling Jesuit University, and Campus Ministry seeks to foster the integration of faith and service in the pursuit of justice for all members of the University community. Campus Ministry does this mainly by partnering with the Service for Social Action Center (SSAC) and the Appalachian Institute. Through involvement with these offices, students, faculty, and staff can become involved with the HESS mentoring program, prison ministry, the Fr. Pedro Arrupe S.J. Scholars Program, immersion experiences focused on health care, energy, water, and service, and other social justice projects. Other service-oriented student groups include Justice and Peace in Our Times (JAPOT), Students for Life, Circle K, and the Appalachian Experience Club.
