Possible Careers

Philosophy graduates are in demand in fields calling for serious analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Our graduates have landed professional positions at companies, institutions and organizations as diverse as automobile and computer companies, law firms, hospitals and newspapers. They serve in management, human resources, public relations, writing and editorial positions.

While our students have attended a number of prestigious post-graduate programs in philosophy and classical studies, some have earned post-graduate degrees in business, counseling, education, library science, educational administration, law, public policy, public relations, economics and finance. They have attended universities such as West Virginia University, the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne, Marquette, Fordham, Georgetown, George Mason University and The Catholic University of America.

We encourage you to visit our campus and meet with students and faculty to learn more about our program, our traditions and our expectations. We are confident that you'll be challenged and inspired with the possibilities and opportunities that are available from studying philosophy at Wheeling Jesuit.
